Fast Cars

I had a philosophy professor in college who used to joke that he got into the field because it was the "gravy train" to "fast cars, beautiful women, and lots and lots of money."  Well, as I begin studying philosophy, I too have happened upon one of those illustrious goals: fast cars.

I am far from a video game guru, but I have recently rediscovered an old favorite pastime of racing games.  I bought a copy for a few bucks of something called "Asphalt Adrenaline 6."  If that doesn't give you any clue as to what it is like, picture racing through exotic courses, cutting off expensive sports cars, collecting various prizes.  The graphics are incredible and it really feels like I'm out there, zooming at 250 mph.

As I plunge into serious intellectual pursuits, it is wise to have a few diversions.  This is one of them.
It's important to have something that requires little or no thinking.  And a little fun.

Now, a challenge to any of you: if you have a Mac and you feel like spending $6 for the Asphalt Adenaline App, we can race online, an option of which I have not yet availed myself.  Nevertheless, if you would like, we can meet on the course.  There are few things I like better than a good race.
